I am building a 3DX-500 which is about the same size and weight of the QJ 8EP. I have seen all sorts of motor and battery combinations mentioned for the Quick as it is more well-known.
My 3DX came packaged with an 890kv outrunner motor and 50A Esc intended to run on one 4s 14.8v pack.
I'm not wild about the idea of investing in 14.8 v packs and would much rather set it up to run on 11.1volts. The reason is because then I could use the same batteries as my trex 450 and they are cheaper and more readily available by comparison.
Sooooo, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
(I should mention, I'm trying to not spend a fortune if possible :)
