ok so i replaced my spindle shaft with a micro heli one last night. today i go to fly and it is going crazy 10ft up. i could barely control it. so i get it down with out a crash, start looking the head over. i decide to pull the shaft and what would you know the lock tite oozed out onto the shaft and glued the bearings and washers to the washer on the screw. afgter 2 hours of trying to get it apart i go spend 30 bucks for ahole new spindle shaft, bearing spacers all of that. i repalce it and go for a test flight. it wants to go to the left. so i shut it down and look everything over , unplug the motors ( main and tail ). i notice that when i increase throttle one of the blades does what its supposed to the other one doesnt give as much pitch as the other blade. im about to go check my pitch and readjust it. but is there anything else i should check ? i have been battling this all damn day and am honestly ready to throw it on the ground and jump on it. ive tryed walking away and looking it over with fresh eyes. but nothing is working. i hope i get this issues sorted out before my mini titan is here.otherwise i doubt i will every fix it or fly my pro again..thanks in advance for the info guys..
btw i dont know if this helps but i jsut put in a new battery its a electrifly 1500mah 3s lipo. it only weighs 2x's the normal weight of the 800mah lipo. the weight isnt an issue from what i can tell..ive had 3x's this much weight on it with the stock brushed motor.

also this may sound stupid to some of you, but is pitch checking\adjustment needed after you take something apart ? say adding cnc mixing arms ? or a spindle shaft ?
one more thing here is your laugh for the day, i have a eflite micro heli pitch gauge. i assume you would have it level with the flybar ? but ive felt to stupid to ask before

If you are replacing hard parts like arms & stuff, then yeah, checking pitch is pretty much required. I'd even check if you only changed the main shaft, since there are likely to be small part-to-part variations that could afffect things.
As for the flybar, yeah, that's the reference I use. Then again, I can't my CPP to hover anymore... :arggg:

thanks man i just got done with my test flight. it was the pitch big time. it took 2 and a half turns on one blade to it set to match the other. now im dealing the front to back weight. with the new lipo, btw electrifly lipos can be charged with the eflite charger. i should have just checked the pitch to begin with, ive took most of the head apart 2x's before making this post.
is it just me or can you hear it when your pitch is off ? i could hear the blades cutting the air more before i adjusted the pitch. now i only hear it when the wind hits it hard enough.

ok so i leveled my swash plate today to. i was just flying it around for my neice ( she loves rc heli's and shes almost 2) out of nowhere it get a sudden movement like i jerked the right stick down if i was in idle up mode. then back up to where i was hovering at. the right stick never moved. i have had this issue before i did all my mods and was just hovering around in my garage then one day it just kinda stopped. then happens again today. any idea on this one. my pitch is still perfect.

Are you using stock radio? If so sounds like glitching. I used to have quite a few problems like that until I got my DX7.

First move with the CPPRO kit is to pitch the Radio---it slammed mine into the ground -full negative pitch--not once but many times--now using the DX7 :smokin:

ya i want a dx7 so bad, i have dreams about it. lol i was even trying to haggle with the owner of my lhs. lol to trade me a heli dx7 for my 60gig ipod video.
so should i assume that the sudden change of pitch yesterday was prolly due to stock radio glitching..
btw you guys with brushless tails where did you get your motors ?

ive just been having the worset luck with heli's for the last few days. even worse is the fact that since i woke up today, the wind has been dead. PERFECT time to fly ited be just like flying in a gym with the ac on.
ive been trying to fix a banking issue, but now my dd tail decides to crap out on me. so ive picked up a eflite 10 amp mini bl esc today and tomorrow im placing the order for one of these 2 motors. i dont know wich one to get. i know buzzkill has the 5300kv motor, but the 5800kv would work also. would the 5300kv be all this heli would ever need ?
