Well, I just had a VERY bad Sunday with my L10D, and must say I am a little confused.
I'll readily admit I am very much a beginner pilot, but I can atleast hover, nose in / out.
This past sunday, I was hovering around (had been for a couple of minutes), and she started getting carried away by the wind (10-15). Altitude was getting too high for me (considering the wind, my skill level, etc) too, so I slowly cut back on the throttle, and gave it some back stick to bring it back to me (tail in). It just kept climbing and climbing, until,....I guess I had too low of a head speed (due to decreasing pitch (flying normal mode DX-6)), and when the gust of wind died, it finally kicked back. I was at about 20 feet, and before I could react well, it was tail first into the ground.
It was a twisted pile of stuff when done,..... but one thing I did notice was the servo arms were stripped AGAIN (this is like the 4th set, but this was by far the worst accident). So, I was wondering if it was possible that one of the arms stripped before the accident, playing a role in the accident?
Has anyone else had a problem with these?
Many thanks
Wayne
ps I'm really P-O'd too, because I just got the tail dialed in.
Just incase anyone needs to know for a more accurate response,
Neu 1907/1.5y, 5S power, DX-6 radio, HS85MG's cyclic, HS81 tail, LogicTech 2100T gyro
Thanks again
