Is there a default transmitter profile (Futaba, JR, etc) i should choose to use Phoenix with my new Spektrum DX7 transmitter? The ones i've chosen all seem to map the inputs incorrectly - i.e. throttling up on the Tx maps to 'Aileron'. I'd like to get an out-of-the-box, correctly-mapped profile, rather than muck with collective mixing, etc. This is to simulate a Blade CPP with CCPM.

thanks for any pointers!

best,

forgot my follow-up question: is there a way to reset calibration profiles to their default value? I think i may have hosed them up when i attempted to calibrate another transmitter. Any web references that cover 'calibration 101 / for newbs' would be GREATLY appreciated since i'm baffled by this right now.

thanks!

I was going to try doing this from memory. Let me do it this way; I will hook-up my DX7 tonight and go through the setup process. I will then post a print screen from Phoenix with my settings.

Until then, selected an unused model on your radio. Set the radio to that model. Clear the model to factory. Label the model for sim use (Phoenix?).

Select a JR profile in Phoenix. Test and adjust your channels to react as in a sensible way. Try to fly.

You can calibrate anytime so, if your calibration is messed up, just do it again. But, make sure you channel mapping is right in your profile first.

Look for a follow-up post here later. I will try to do it tonight.

g-money, see the sticky thread at the top of the forum for how I setup my DX7 for use with Phoenix.
