Canopy mounts - quick release etc

I've used RC Booya Quick Release Canopy Mounts on my 500 ESP, and had the use of Lynx canopy nuts - in view of the extra mounts to the fore of the PRO canopy, can we still use security mounts?

The booya mounts I have weigh a ton. I wouldn't want 4 of them on my heli
if there were lighter ones available. Maybe a different brand or something.

Has anyone found a nice set of quick release mounts? It's a pain to get my canopy on and off without introducing and cracks in the canopy.

I use quick uk mounts on my 600 pro and no many others who use there quick mounts and they are great.

I had asked the same question a while back and it seems some use the Booya mounts in all 4 spots and others use them only on the rear spots. as for the Quick UK ones I can't find them for the 500 size helicopters, only 600 and bigger.....

When I started flying my EFL 500 last August, I replaced the stock canopy with a cheap ($13) one from A Main Hobbies, spray painted orange. When I learned to fly without damaging it, I switched to the stock canopy--once. It was such a pain to get on I never used it again. The cheap canopy goes on easily with four stock rubber grommets. You can see directly down to the front ones when you put the canopy on, so it's easy.

I am just going to use two for the back and maybe get some cnc canopy grommets for the front.

The Quick UK mounts are what I use on my EFL. It was a little bit of work tapping the AR Bracket and aluminum rod in the nose to fit a larger, 2.5mm if I remember correctly, bolt. Canopy removal and attachment is now a breeze!
