I just purchase a Duralite setup for my 2 raptor 50's.

Do you transport your helis to and from the field with the batteries in the heli or in a seperate firesafe container?

I put my Duralite batteries in the helis in Feb 03. Since then they have not been out of the heli. I never think about them. I put then on charge and forget them till I take them off charge. No reason to take the batteries in and out of the heli or do anything special other than what is stated in the instuctions. The helis are in my garage that is attached to the house. I have never worried about the batteries more than I would nicads or nimh's.

I agree with DaividH, unless you crashed at the field and are riding back home I wouldn't bother taking them out. I too charge mine in the heli with the canopy on and I have no worries about them. My charger only charges at 400mah's so its safe and it has a timer.

Mine never come out -- i shrink wrap all servo connections too so short of an oops they don't move.

I hve been using them for over a year, I have them in 4 helis now and I don't worry about them. I use the Duralite Charger. The thing I like the best about them is they are simple to use and they work GREAT, which is exactly what a simple and busy person like me needs.

Thank you Duralite!!
