hi everyone,
before i post my problem i'll post my setup, i have a park370 4100kv bl motor w/ eflight 20A esc. zoom hh gyro, dd tail, and cf blades.

here's the problem. i've never really got dd tail to hold, before, i'd use revo mixing (i know, i'm not suppose to with a hh gyro) so on climbouts, the tail won't swing, but due to the lack of programmability of the 7chp, the tail drifts during inverted (dunno why yet, possibly due to only able to program the high adn low end of the throttle stick), and i know i'm not suppose to. so i got a new motor today, a new and bigger prop (i've tried almost every other prop too). i broke in the dd tail motor (i'm sure it's the 11.1v also), put the new prop on, and tried it. for some reason, the gain/remote gain did nothing, i dunno why. i've try setting the remote gain from my 7chp gyro menu to 100AVCS, the tail won't wag. i've tried setting my ch5 endpoint to 140, tail still won't wag, i've tried without remote gain, and turned up the gyro gain pot to full +, tail still won't wag. and the problem is, the tail won't hold on climbouts, i'll swing to the right (tail) about 20 degrees maybe? i can never understand how nick maxwell or kyle stacy got their tail to hold so well. i'll try to set it up again tomorrow, i hope my gyro's not dead!?!?!.

please help, what do you suggest?! ANY suggestions?!
thx

Hey Chopper I'm really interested in your Revo settings. I have Bl tail but would like to get rid of my 3-4" kick on climbouts. Care to share your settings?

what pack are you running. if its the stock packs, ive heard soemthing about there rated at 8c and that lets the tail drift after afew minutes. mihgt want to try a tp 1320 pack

Now there's a clue. I use a 3S 12C pack. I should include that in my advisories. Thanks.

sorry buzz, i dun run revo right now. all i have is a fut7chp with hi and lo end revo, not exactly a very good 'curve'. i have a very dead 1050mah 12c cont 20c burst lipo with over 200 flights giving me only about 5 min of flight time, i'd say it's my batt. because at the beginning of the flight, the tail will still kick, but at the end, the tail won't even have enough power for an ascend. (going up). i think it's because i have a bl motor, which is eating up all the juice at full power and leave nothing for the tail. this is most noticible when comparing the beginning of the flight to the end of the flight. this lipo won't hold it's voltage. what's the chances of what i just described? am i on to something? or am i on the rong path?

You sure its not just the tail motor going?

for me anytime i had a reason to suspect any of my tail motors is going out. i replaced it asap. last thing you is to have a tail motor go out in flight.

i just put on a new tail motor 1 flight ago, or maybe 2. i already swapped out the old tail motor which has seen less than 3 weeks, thinking it was the problem. so i've eliminated that i could've been the tail motor going.

get a better battery pack a tp 1320 would be nice. if your using the eflite charger, electricly packs can be charged with the eflite charger.
