Hi, will running engine in gov mode affect the usage life of the piston and piston ring? meaning shorten the life ?

nope.
You do need to have the ability to turn off the GV1 from the transmitter to check mixture, a lean or rich mixture will be masked by the governor. The governor will attempt to maintain the preset headspeed regardless of engine tuning, and this is where people burn up their gear...
install GV1 on a engine tuned properly, and every session's first flight turn off the GV1, check mixture, and THEN turn on the GV1 and fly.
This holds true for ALL engine governors..
