What is the best way to slow down the response on my 450? Change the head speed,or put in some expotential?I have 13 tooth pinion on an align BL430L brushless motor, pitch is -2 to+10 in normal mode I don't know what my head speed is.Or put in expo. I've read about 20 to30 on expo. helps.but should it be + or - I have a spektrum DX6 and read that spektrum and jr are + and fatuba is - could someone verify that. This is my first complete build and I need all the help I can get. Thank-you

You can check you expo direction yourself. Move your stick off center a bit and hold it there. Increase the expo in one direction and watch the servo. If it moves farther off the center location that is the wrong expo, if it moves towards center a bit that is correct.

lower head speed, use + expo on the DX6, Flybar weights (use wheel collars..they are easy to get/use).

I thought there were wrights on the flybar already.are there other weights you can add? also how do I change the headspeed? This is all so new to me.

you can add weight.
You change headspeed using the pinion and throttle curves.
Hit the Finless Techroom and watch all the video's. He's done a super job making it easy for new pilots to learn.

I lowered the response of my Minititan (futaba f8u Tx)by changing the swash travel values instead of using expo settings.
except the pitch settings, adjusted it to get a normal +11 0 -11.
Recently I increased the values a little again to get more response on aileron and elevator as my flying improved and i want to go a small step further.
Don't know if it's common, but for me it worked.

I like using expo on mine. Started off with about 20% and worked my way lower.

Anything more than 20% was wayyyy too mushy then extreme whenever large stick input was given. Not good for emergency corrective scenarios. I wanted a nice smooth transition and ended up with 13% expo.

Using a 13 tooth pinion along with a stock 3550KV or 3700KV motor, this should give you a nice headspeed. I've got the 3550KV and it's zinging.

I did exactly the same and it worked a treat, just raise the values once you are use to it.
