how does the Kyosho Caliber 50 compare to the Raptor 50?
is one more 3d capable than the other?
which one is a more stable flier?
which one is better quality?
which gives better bang for your buck?
anything else i left out??

C5 and R50 are both as 3D capable.
C5 is more stable (thats what I heard, I never flew a R50 myself)
C5 is higher quality.
R50 gives you a better bang for the buck.

If you crash a C5 you'll be losing way more $$$ then crashing a R50. Out of the box though the C5 doesn't need any upgrades for 3D.

The Raptor is well supported, parts are everywhere and information is abundant http://www.raptortechnique.com is one example. Also Thunder Tiger doesnt change designs every few years and stop producing parts, you could have the first Raptor imported in the US 10 years ago and still be able to get parts for it.

I have only ever seen one cal 5 and that pilot now flies a raptor, better support and more robust is the raptor according to him.
