I'm tired of waiting for replacement parts. I have 1 1/2 gallons through my new Rap and it seems like I'm always ordering small parts for something. I had a hot start yesterday and now I have to wait for a clutch lining. I want to place an order for a small list of replacement parts. Which ones should I buy? What do you Rappy fliers keep in your inventory? Thanks.

One guy at my club always buys spares in pairs when he needs something so he starts building up an inventory that way - so thats one good way to do it.

If you're talking crash damage replacements then I'd say just about anything could break so other than all the shafts, blades and boom its hard to put together a list of common parts that break.

General wear items as far as I know are:

Clutch liner
Clutch
Starter bearings
Engine's rear bearing
Glow glugs
Fuel tubing + Filter

Other than these you shouldnt need anything else

I tend to agree.. .when it comes to crash damage if you don't have a totally redundant set of parts you will inevitably break something you don't have.

As for just plain wear parts and handy extras I'd add to comeflywithme's list

Extra link ends
Various bearings (main shaft, start shaft and pinion)
Tail blades

I've had a quite a bit of trouble with the bearing spining on the pinion until I started using loctite on it. I've also had main shaft and start shaft bearings get notchy from dirt, etc. and you should check those regularily.

Another good point of reference if you haven't scoured it already is raptortechnique.com as he keeps a list of maintenance items on his machines as well.
