I have seen the 180 ballbearing motors and the ones with air vents, my question is this. I was wondering if any motor that will work on the CX that one can use a larger stronger battery and maybe run 3 battery packs through it back to back. I really enjoy flying this heli but by the time I get started I have to stop and charge battery.

Probably would be safer and easier just to buy another battery. I run 3S batteries in mine although I dont recommendit unless you dont mind the risk of cooking your CX. I have a CX2 so I dont know if that makes a difference. My CX2 has a heavy model fuse on it and the 3S was the only thing that would lift it. I know a guy at one of my LHS that runs nothing but 3S packs in his. He drill holes in his 4-1 case for heat issues and we both use vented motors we pick up for $8 (for both motors) at Hobby Town USA in Rockford, IL. I think the motors are Venoms.

The hard part about getting a better battery is finding one that fits, DN power makes one. I use Thunder power 2 cell 740 mah lipo in mine and some tape to hold them in. Much better battery, flight times increased as did total available power.

Does any one know if the Thunder Power 2 Cell 1320 mAh battery will have any issues working with the factory charger that came with my Blade CX. I am considering trying one of these batteries and see if my power and fly time will increase.

The DN power batt is 900mAHr :D
Compare with the stock e-flight 800 pack
