I installed my mount and camera the other day and am quite impressed by the additional stability added by the undercarriage weight. However, I am looking at changing out the the flybar and/or paddles to possibly further increase stability. "If it's not broken, why fix it" comes to mind. But just the same, I figured if change can improve then move forward. Having read a few posts, what states is short and to the point:
Shorter flybar, more stable, less agile. Longer flybar, more agile, less stable.
Heavier paddles, more stable, less agile. Lighter (3D) paddles, more agile, less stable.
Given that my L10 will be AP dedicated, should I:
A. Shorten the flybar to the 300mm or 360mm and keep the stock 2359 light-weight flybar paddles (16 gms).
B. Keep the stock 400mm flybar and change out the flybar paddles to the heavier 2358 Stabilizer Paddle (26 gms).
C. Change out both and add the heavier 2358 paddles as well as the 300 or 360mm flybar.
It may be a fact that I will have to play around with the combinations. But I figured someone out there will have tried and tested and found a reasonable balance between the flybar and paddles for optimum stability. A little input from the experienced AP'ers would be much appreciated.
