Is there a coupler that anybody knows where to order and the part number that lasts longer than the stock blue one and does not get all cracked up like the OEM blue one. I have been through 2 this season.

you might just replace it with another, and see if you had better luck. (the only reason I say this is that I ran a coupler for two years without replacing it). The other thing you might try is clamping it on with hose clamps (the new one) if you haven't already. works better than the zip ties that lots of people used. I'll see if I can find a better material in one of my parts books and get back to you.

I used to use the Prather Large Boat Couplers Part number 8210 which is 3/4" ID for 7.5 to 11cc Engines and they lasted a lot longer than the stock blue ones. The Prather ones are a lot thicker and tougher material.

I bought them from Tower Hobbies and I have one sitting here in front of me you can have for 5 bucks shipped. PM me and I'll get it on the way to you by USPS.

You may want to consider Greg's good advice and use something a little more robust than the standard wire ties to hold it on.

Give hodges a call he has what you need the dark blue 3/4 id silicone tube.. Can't remember the brand. But it works great.!! Replace you cupler every 4gals and you will not have any problems.. I used to fly the MP1, that's the only way to ensure it will not fail during flight.. I know it's a little more maintanence but that's the only way.. I will be going back to my MP 1 here soon. So I feel your pain..

Cut your 2" pieces and keep a couple with you in your flight box.. that way you have no down time at the field...

Teflon tubing from Mc Master Carr works 10 times better. I used to make my own teflon couplers on a lathe for same pipe. Once you get it on, heat it until it turns clear. it will shrink and conform to the header and pipe. Really a sweet setup. If you don't have a lathe, then you could buy a drill bit and do it that way. I always used spring clamps too which worked well.
