View Full Version : EVO 50 Cyclic rates
I have V paddles, V blades, full swash deflection, and mediocre cyclic rates.
I have tried all the different combos on the head settings (inside and outside mounting hole for the mixing arms, and the blade grip balls) I have no flybar weights, and even went to a stiffer flybar since the Hirobo one was a touch soft.
Anything else I need to check or do?

Switch to some better paddles. The hirobo paddles with no weights have a faster cyclic rate than the v paddles. Also the white MA paddles are about as good as the stock ones.
Lighter blades will also help out the cyclic rate. Find the lightest blades you can and strap them on.
If you are not at or near 2000 rpm on the head get there! That helps out too.
Tried the MA paddles, and they are worse than the KSJ paddles for pitchyness and weren't as fast as the Vpaddles. Headspeed is at 1900-1950.
I'll try the stock ones again soon.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I like them near to 2000 but slightly on the other side of it ~2075

You got to sand down about 1/4 inch of the leading edge of the MA paddles and make them more blunt to decrease the pitchyness. Be sure to check the weight so they are equal, should come out at about 20 grams.

Are you looking for faster roll/tumble rates?
Carbonxtreame’s micro ridge dampeners + the Youngblood 105mm stubz give me super fast response.
I run +-13 deg pitch and 6deg cyclic
I have the infinaviation dampers. I had the microridge before, and can't tell much difference between the two honestly.
105mm is quite a paddle, that may make the difference. When I get time, I try to get some of those.

I am running the Mah paddles,535 flybar, inside grip holes and my Evo is more than I can handle. Oh and headspeed at 1960. Super fast cyclics for 3-d but flys smooth and stable as an FAI machine. The balance is awesome!
