To grind or not to grind?

Ok fellas I am building a Miniature Aircraft E Razor and am wondering if I should grind a flat spot on my Tango 45-08 motor shaft?
I know the manual recommends to but it has been my experience that using green loctite (shaft retainer) will hold pinions tight.
I am looking for people that are actually flying the Razor and have experience with this situation. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, grind a flat on the shaft.

Just tape over or in other way cover the motor/bearings so you dont get metal down into the motor.
