I just got this charger and I can't see how to get it to trickle charge my NiCD and NiMH batteries. I have the Trickle Charge menu set to 50mA but can't see anywhere to actually do it. And it doesn;t seem to switch over after the full charge is complete. Am I missing something? :dontknow

I believe the trickle charge mode on the Bantam chargers is only used after the pack has gone through a full cycle. That keeps the pack fully charged until you take it off.

What you want to do with any charger is use the normal NiMh/NiCd mode and set the current for C/10. In other words, if your pack is rated for 2000 mAh, then you should charge it at 200 mA for 12-14 hours.

I don't know if the Bantam chargers will shut off properly when doing this. Evan, the distributor, can probably answer that for you.

After looking at the manual several times I'm starting to think that the charger uses the Trickle Charge mode to finish the charge and once the battery is fully charged it cuts off. I guess I expected it to keep the trickle charge going until I unconnected the battery.
