Hi there!

I am looking for a Hatori SB-15 for some time now that would go on my YS61ST2.

Unfortunately, the "globalisation" does not seem to get a full grip on the situation... At least not here in europe... :(
LHS that carry the full line of Hatori's do sometime not even know that there is such a type of muffler...

Therefore, does anyone know, whether the SB-15 has another naming?
All I can find here is a Hatori "8090", that fits on the YS 80's and 90's, though I wonder whether it's the same as the SB-15?

Any pointers would be really very much appreciated!

I already have a fitting Zimmermann-muffler, so there is not much sense to buy "something that fits as well"...

Other solution, anybody live near helihobby shop? Those guys appear to carry the SB-15 in their lineup, though due to reputation, I do not dare to order online...
That way, if someone would live close, you could pick it up in person and ship it to me (or my brother, currently in Dallas - no, I wouldn't dare to send him neither, he doesn't have a clue at all about heli parts...), all expenses covered by me...

Sincerely with greets from switzerland,

Daniel

Daniel,
I don't have an SB 15 anymore. But I still have an SB16. From the center of the inlet to the tip of the outlet, it is 175 mm. I know the SB 15 was shorter, I am thinking it was in the 160 mm range from the center of the inlet to the tip of the outlet.
I don't see any mufflers on Hatori Japan website anymore that are equilavent to the SB 15.

This one might be the SB 15. Mine only had one baffle, so Ricks may still have this item.

You can contact Rick's and he can tell you if that is SB15.

David,

Thank you very much for your tip!

Though I did see it the 8090 on Ricks, I did not find any way to get into contact with him except via phone. Which might prove a bit expensive, given the fact I live in switzerland... ;)

But with a bit of brain and a tiny tad of cheating I was able to send him email and just received the answer...

It *is* the very same muffler, and Rick is also offering the old versus the new style of mounting (whatever that means... ;) ).

Well, the only thing missing is the advise from paypal, that the transfer from bank to paypal was successfull... :)

Thank you very much for your help!

Sincerely,

Daniel
