I have a motor pinion/drive gear mesh issue. The motor is tight. I adgust the motor so the pinion is snug and when I run the copter, the gears mesh flakes. The pinion is pressed snugly. But the main shaf drive gear seems to slip in the shaft. There are no mechanical blowups avail. from Walkera or WOWHobbies.

This appears a brittle unit so I really need to understand just what hold that main gear sugly on the drive shaft. Do not want to break anything especially sisnce parts are nowhere to be found. (other than motor upgrades)

Ideas?

The motor pinion and main gear should not be tight. There needs to be a little play between the two. Wow Hobbies has all the spare parts in stock.

Ideas?The drive shaft & main gear are press fit flush at the bottom. There are flats at the bottom of main shafts & main gear is made to fit in like a key an can only connect one way.

On your comment about parts being hard to find, Please see attached link;

As you can see they have everything, and if its not in stock they mark it as such. I ordered all the usual standby spares and got them in a couple of days, (China to Oz).

Good luck with the repairs, but I would replace the suspect parts, they are cheap and it will be as good as new.
