trying my hardest to find some 20mm (.790") carbon fiber or thin wall aluminum tubing. Need to make some booms for some Logo 24's and can't find the stretched Mikado booms anywhere.
anyone know of a place to get 20mm tubing???

DJ, I got mine from FXAero, but it looks like they have removed it from the site.
Good to know there are other options...I hope I never need another one!
How do you like the L24? I hope the parts support doesn't disappear with the new models coming out.

I love the 24! I spoke with Aeromodel (US distributor) today and they indicated that parts support for the 24 will continue for quite some time.

They are nice birds. Mine is a stretched L20, so it should be the same size as your stretched L24. It's got 690 V blades on it now, which i'm very happy with. I'm fine tuning mine and about ready to throw the D40x on it. I flew 2.5 lbs on my askman mount and it was rock solid. I'm interested to see how your front mount comes out....and if you feel like making an extra one....let me know!

there's been a change of plans temporarily.... I am outfitting this with a 360 underslung mount for now. I have two huge projects coming up this month (20 and 30 story balcony shots) and need to be able to hold the chopper still while the camera pans.
I will do a front mount for it though. probably mid-summer when I get to it.
wanna sell me your logo 10 mount?
soon.... I may be unloading some Logo 10 stuff soon. I will post up when I do.

Hi DJ,
The original carbon boom for the stretched Bionic has been discontinued. It has been replaced by an aluminium boom. It's not listed on the Mikado site, but its the folowing partnumber:
#0826 810mm aluminium boom.

Now that I found this thread on locating a longer tailboom 810mm, what belt do I use as I cant find the correct lenght and there must be an alternative. Any help is appreciated.

Jeff, what kind of helicopter are you looking for a longer belt for?

Its for a stretched Logo 20. I found it M0834 - Tail Belt (686XL) For Logo 20. I think this is the belt for the 810mm tailboom.

will the plastic frame L20 hold up to L24XL duty with longer blades/boom? I have the CF mikado boom/belt stretch but do I need to upgrade to the CF L24 frames?

Mine works fine. I actually like the plastic frames for vibration dampening.
