ok have a cp pro with park 370 motor with eflite esc--g90 gyro 3s1250
want to go to a gws edp50xc with a 3020 prop.
read about putting a zener diode and resister inline between 4-1 and tail
motor. to stop burning out dd motor with excess voltage from battery.

im i on the right track? or im i missing something?

help

i dont know about the diode in.but the 50xc motor is agood motor when used with the 3020 prop. you will still have a really good amount of kick when you punch it. but ive also heard that installing a gws esc gets rid of that and the tail holds perfectly. im not sure wich gws esc to put in. its prolly mentioned 10 times in threads just on the main page.

gws ics50j. just put it on yesterday...awesome. i've never heard anything about a diode and i've done a lot of research on the dd tail. people have reported up to 20 hours of flight without said diode. i think as long as you get the correct motor, you should be ok.
