Great Will, congrats on the new heli !!! Please do a full build up video/photos of the project. I know that is a hassel to do, but it sure would be great for all of us to watch and learn.

Thank you Rob. I know I toyed with the idea of not getting one... but how could I do that??? I'm getting one!!
I am really looking forward to a non fiberglass fan shroud and bolting in the TRM Proto 260 to the light weight Spectra G. :)
It will be very interesting to compare the TRM 231(John's Spectra G) head to head against the potential TRM 260 in identically prepared Spectra G's. :glasses:
Stay tuned to the FREAK for the low down!!

Must be nice to have that much play money. :arggg: I'm still stuck with a 3 year old Expert with a 91 stuffed in. It still flies damn good though :glasses2:

If it flys good and you like it. Why not keep flying it. I am getting the Spectra G as a test platform for testing the TRM 231 and long way from production 260. If I did not have testing I would not be able to justify it.....
You know how it goes...

It isn't the new heli that makes this hobby fun, it is the people and the challenge to fly what you have and keep it flying. Yes, I would love to be able to buy a Spectra G or whatever..... but I can have just as much fun with my Stinger 30...... well almost.... heheheee.
Have fun and Merry Christmas to all..... who knows, you may get a new heli for Christmas !!!!

You guys are lucky! I have to wait for mine to go to China (cyberheli) then to Tokyo. Then I hope I will be able to understand the post office when they tell me to come pick it up. Man, I miss fedex or UPS walking right to my door with new toys. :angryfire:

What stores have a Spectra with a tempest head in stock? Are all of them already sold out?

I would think that all the Spectra's in the first run of kits have been pre-sold. MA shipped 80 kits this week and are planning to ship 50 more next week. You might contact some of the hobby shops and see if they will have any Spectra kits that have not been pre-sold.

We flew Will's today at Black Sheep. WoW! was it windy. Gusts were around 45 miles per hour so the machine was tossed around a good bit as we got it set up. It flew well otherwise and the Toxic G-26 prototype performed flawlessly. The only issue was a buzz/vibration heard when the model was turned so that the wind was blowing directly on it's left side :?: We later found that it was the canopy (in pretty poor shape-it was used and cracked up a bit) being blown against the coil for the motor. It was that windy.
The model made it through the gusts just fine, but it was not fun.
Videos should be up tonight!
