Well I have my guaranteed ready to fly heli from Ebay that came with the flybar cage mounted upside down along with other things messed up and a bent spindle. So I fixed that stuff, I added the correct step washers in the head so the head is now soft but there is no side to side play. I set the pitch, everything looks like a go.
I take the thing out, fire it up, check tail direction, yep, good, bring it up, and all of a sudden the tail goes crazy and it smacks into the ground. I'm guessing maybe something with the 3 n 1 or something like that? I switched to a different set of blades as I"m not sure if the first set were good, not sure if the second set are great either, but before I destroy my brand new 15 dollar symmetrical blades, I"d like to get this thing flying.
So can someone give me some baseline settings to get this thing in the air. It seems to just want to fall over to the left when I start it up, haven't tried it again yet since swapping the blades. Where do I keep the throttle trim after starting up, do you guys raise it or leave it at the lowest postion? The servos seem to be good, doesn't seem like the teeth are broken or anything.
Just so you know, I am finishing up a trex 600, I fly a trex450, I also have a mini zoom that I put together and it flys with no problem and I had a walkera 52 that I sold that I flew. I should have no problems getting this thing to fly. Everything seems to be spot on, the only thing I can think of is it is something with the electronics. Maybe I need to put some shims in the head, but it doesn't have any play so I don't see that being the issue.
Anyway, Please help, I'd like to finish my 600 but I"m spending all weekend on this "guaranteed to fly out of the box heli" No really, thats how it was sold on ebay. The servos couldn't even move the pitch because stuff was backwards but it was going to fly LOL
