DX7 Problem

Hi Guys,
A good friend of mine purchased a used DX7 radio.
Yesturday he came round so I could check it out, but we have a problem,
When you turn to power on the TX, it lets out a loud beep and comes up with " Backup error" on the screen, thats it, there is nothing in the manual that talks about that , as we didnt have the manual we looked up on the web page and downloaded it........I am hoping it is some kind of reset required.......Can anyone please help us sort this out.

You need to send it back to Horizon service center to fix this.

The "Backup Error" is a result of removing the battery pack without switching the DX7 off.

Did the guy that sold it to you tell you about the problem? Just curious.
