The little brown truck came today!! Thank you Ray www.RaysheliResource.com that was FAST!!
Here it is in all its glory, I am very excited. John Garst is on the way over and we are going to try to film some construction video. If you have any special requests we will try to help. Post away. :)
Thanks for looking everybody. Everything was packaged great and the kit looks very complete. Took about 10 minutes to print the manuals from the CD, they look very good at first glance.

The landing gear look to be the same as on the fury. I bet they get spread out pretty fast.

It is the gear that is on the Fury but John is saying his has survived 2 crashes and is has been sitting on its feet for months. He says they are called tough struts for a reason, they are really tough. John recommends using a loop of fuel tubing on the back of the skids to keep the back end from sagging. Seems like a lot of people are doing that these days.
Stay tuned for building the Spectra G 3D Gas.

The ones on my extreme had to be replaced fairly quickly. It was letting the tail get into the dirt too often. Not anything a spacer would not fix. I just figured the extra weight of the Spectra might make it worse.

I should have some video very soon. Looks like John is now coming back to my house and we are gonna finish the build hopefully tonight and have flying video tomorrow. :) That is if all goes well and conditions are right. We will do our best to have a bunch of goodies for you by tomorrow. The heli is ready for the tail to be installed and then the radio setup.
Thanks for your patience.

The pictures are great.
Question for you.
I see that the frames have the pem nuts for the servo supports. Do the supports come with the kit?
Thanks

The servo supports are an option to for the Spectra G 3D and are not included with the kit. They are not necessary for this model.
On another note... The John Garst Spectra G Build Teaser video is in our video forum. :)

Does anyone have all the part numbers required to make the servo support bridges. I could only find the CF piece and the bearing on their website.

When I ordered my Spectra G from HeliProz, I requested the support bridges. Curt grabbed a set off the wall for me. If you call them, they'll have the parts numbers for you.

My fury extreme had the mounts left out of it by accident. The person I talked to at ma seemed to think they were pretty important. I can't see how they would be so important to have on that kit, yet not so with this one. It makes no sense other than they are trying to shave a few bucks off the price of the kit.

Part numbers for the servo supports are #115-87-Futaba, #115-88-JR, they are not in the kit, but they are recommended in the operating instructions. They will be installed on mine.

Yeah, I think they are a good idea also. Mine will have them.

I need to order blades for my Spectra G. Does it come with 4 or 5mm blade bolts? I'm assuming the grips are 14mm... yes?
WillJames
12-12-2004, 09:15 AM
5mm Blade Bolts. 14mm roots. John says run 700 or 710mm mains.
