Brushless motor connection....

Building a HeliMax MX400....Trying to put a ElectriFly Ammo motor together with a X40 Hacker Brushless speed controller....Having a hard time figuring which of the three black wires on the speed controller concect to the appropriate colored wires on the Ammo motor...Does it matter??? None of them are marked except for the different wire colors on the motor........learned alot in the last few months, this web site is to thank for a large portion of that...THANKS !!!!!

I have no clue on your configuration. I do know if you just connect them up the motor will turn. If it turns in the wrong direction just swap any two leads.

if its a brushless motor then it dosent matter which wires are plugged in. if you wire it up incorectly, the only problem will be the motor spins backwards. to sort this problem out you would swap any TWO of the wires around.

I just wish motor and ESC makers would just stop making the wires in various colors. :)

Don't worry, I think every one of us had the same question when we got our first brushless motor.
