Neh... mine was a genuine TP1010C.

It's on it's way to Las Vegas now.

BTW the word over on RC Groups is that TP pulled the update for some reasons and recommend that you reflash back to 2.1.

I did send this email to Thunder Power:

Hi!

I will send it today to you. I just checked the costs. I have to pay the Dutch mail 22 Euro tot send it to you. Do you compensate these costs to me?

Regards

I got the following answer:

Greetings,

We are very sorry for the problem with the charger, and yes we will refund
the shipping cost, I will contact you after it arrives.

Thank you,

THUNDER POWER WARRANTY DEPARTMENT

I think THAT'S service!

Dale,

What version of the software is it running?

What plug are you using for the firmware install? there are two types, the plug that has a locking clip on it and a plug without. Seems to be the charger with the locking clip type plug is the one that is having the problems...

Same as last time. Just one or two peeps "seem" to have problems? They pulled the upgrade last time, I am sure so they would not have to replace all the burned out chargers our there (by what who knows)?

I upgraded when the file was first posted and have had ZERO problems! NOT saying things did not happen the way you say but 99.99% of everyone upgrading has had no issues whatsoever?

I did a file check on the 2 files and they appear to be the same?

Did you do an inquiry with all the users of a TP1010??

Sure the most users didm't have an issue. But I also know that a lot users didn't upgrade to 2.2 because of my warning. An also that there are more than a few users with problems. TP admitted there was an issue with this firmware update to me in the mail.

So if the file is the same as the first one, that's one reason more for me to wait a few weeks with upgrading :glasses2:
