I'm using 2.2A and it seems to be working fine for me so far.

I had 2.2A on mine and it installed with no problems.

If you are having success with yours and like it, I would advise after a battery is charged, throw it on another charger and see if it is fully charged or not.

When I charged some batteries, it did not charge them fully. After charging a 1900mAh Nicd on the 1010c I put it on my Triton charger and it put almost 200mAh more in the pack. I don't like the fact you can't select the cell count.

I like my Triton better for Nicd's and NiMH's so I went back to 2.1a firmware.

I just bought a 1010. But I asked the counter help if it had the upgrades for Lithium Magnesium batts. He didn't know. so he called Horrizon. They didn't know. So he called TP. They said that they were having problems with the upgrade. So they pulled it. They said they have it straightened out. I haven't done it yet. But will. If only for the Lith-Mag's for my 600.

Upgrade to 2.1A adds A123 support. 2.2 adds NiMH/NiCd support. That is what is causing troubles.

WRT fully charging, IIRC the 2.2 upgrade changes teh defualt charge level from full to 97% or something like that. Sort of like setting fast charge.

And my Triton always charges more by running in CV mode to a lower amp rate than the 1010C does.

Upgraded two TP1010 to 2.3A today, no problems at all. Btw, default charge level is now 100%.

New instructions up on TPs website, please read before upgrading.

I would say someone screwed up designing the hardware...

Hmm, so I can't turn my variable power supply down to 9V?
