As the subject line asks, does anyone know a way to remove "notchy" feel from DX6 throttle lever? I have looked through the manual countless times and also searched it here to no avail...
Thanks

I'm not familiar with the DX6, but the mod is simple on most radios. Typically you just remove the back and look for the sort of "leaf spring" that's rubbing on the throttle gimbal. You can usually either remove it or bend it out of the way.
Try these:

Thanks - yes, a very easy mode - all finished... I flipped the metal piece over so it still retained some tension but no ratchat feel. The DX6 manual should show this or at least mention it (probably need a diasclaimer voiding the warranty or something)...
Thanks again

To add to spork's post: Instead of flipping over the flat "spring" on the gimbal, just slip a small piece of fuel tubing over it. Keeps the tension, gets rid of that notchy feel. Works great on all my radios. :)

I've done the smooth throttle mod to both my DX6 (now gone) and my DX7. IMO, the best results come from taking a piece of 150-300 grit sandpaper and sanding the notches on the gimble until smooth (you can leave some slight bumps if you want but I take them completely out). Then put the metal strip back in, either stock or backwards. Adjust the tension to suit.
