Hi
I'm flying a CX2 since a few weeks and I'm already addicted to Helis. Now I wonder what's the difference between flying a CX2 and a CP.
I've seen that the CP has a single main rotor and a tail rotor.
Is it much more difficult to fly and hover? Does it have a gyro? Is the CP better than the CX2 for flying outdoors?
I guess that the flybar on top of the CX2, which the CP doesn't have, helps a lot to keep it balanced.
Thank you for any advice!
Mike :)

Yes the CP is WAY harder to fly. My 70 year old Dad could fly the CX first time trying ;)
Yes the CP has a gyro
Not really sure it is any better at flying outside.

CP and CPP has a flybar but its still night and day compared to the CX. IF you get another heli you'll basicly be starting over except for orientation. On a good note, I started on a CX2 (ok a picco Z but does that count?) then went to a CPP. I now fly my V2 mostly and each one has been a totaly new exciting experience. I'm a freak.

Anyone has a suggestion what would be a good next heli after the CX2?
Since I don't have access to any big room I fly only outdoors.
Other thing: Is there a really good sim for mac computers?
I've heard that it helps a lot to practice first before crashing the real thing.
Thanks

I started with the CX2, and then got a CP. It was fine for a while, until I saw my friend's Trex 450. Since then I've bought a sim (RF G3.5) and I'm saving my pennies for a Trex 450 (probably). The blade cp is just so maddening with it's unstable tail and expensive replacement parts I haven't flown it for weeks.
I too am a Mac user, and there really is no good simulator for mac. Luckily, my girlfriend has a dell that I can use for my flight sim needs. Perhaps you should upgrade to one of the new Intel machines so you can run windows! If I didn't have the gf's WinXP box, I would be running WinXP on my MacBook, but it's not really a gaming machine.

Well, both of my macs are pre-Intel....The one I'm on to right now is a prehistorical PPC G3 and the one in my studio is a Motorola G5. Anyway, the next thing I am going to buy is a mac mini (saving pennies too) with Intel processors onboard. After that I will be looking forward to maybe a Trex 450. I've seen some pictures and I already fell in love with it.
Thank you! :fly

The CX level has a coaxial propellers so its harder to fly outside because the slight wind will throw the balance bar off and itll wobble and make it impossible to fly. For the CP level, it isnt a coaxial helicopter. Instead, it has a propeller in the back perpendicular to the main rotor, so it doesnt need a second main rotor or a balance bar. However, it is harder to control because its not a self balance helicopter. If you get this, I suggest you dont pull all the controls to full up down left or right. I suggest tapping the controls lightly like I do. Hope my info helped. :D
