Is it possible to repair wood blades(or any blade for that matter) after a minor blade strike?

Blades should never be repaired.
A repair that fails in flight will become a missile that can do serious bodily harm or worse.
Not to mention that a blade departing in air will destroy the heli worse than most crashes with the ground.

I figured as much, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks,

Keith

What fool said, throw them in the trash.

Which begs the next question:

How to choose the proper blade for my helicopter?

I've got a JR Ergo 30 with a webra 33 engine.

If I stick with the parts numbers in my manual, I've got one choice. Am I stuck with that? How can I tell if another blade of similar length with work for me?

Just about any 550 mm blade with the correct root thickness will work. If the grips are wider than the blades then you can use the washers that usually come with the blades for that purpose. Measure the root thickness of the blades you are using and let me know, we can probably find you some decent blades.

You don't have to toss them in the trash, they make great Hi Tech paint mixers.

Like Andy said, any blade of any brand with the same length and root thickness will work fine. In fact most of the best blades out are made by companies other than the OEM.
And it is perfectly acceptable to add washers to a blade with a smaller root thickness to make it fit your blade grip.

Just to be clear, it is NOT acceptable to sand the roots down and blades that are too thick. This can weaken teh blade root and cause the blade to come off in flight.

Thanks for the help.

I'll measure up the current blades and report back. Since the kit was used when I got it, I'd imagine the blades that were on it are after market anyway.

the grip opening on the head is 13mm

the blade width at the root is 7.3mm
blade width with the grips epoxied on is 12.32mm.

I'm learning here, so bear with me.

When the blade says 4/14 does that refer to the bolt hole size / Grip size?

Yes, bolt hole and root thickness.
