I've read too many horror stories about gyro's being mounted on top and being damaged so I just made a new mount for my Heli-Direct STK Superframe and I'm waiting for the Shoe Goo to set before I mount my GY-401 to the bottom of the frame. I'm guessing that because the gyro will now be upside down that I'll have to flip the reverse switch on the gyro. Am I correct?

Yes and No. Depends on how the gyro is programmed. When setting it up you should find out when bench testing
Reason why I said yes or no is because I'm not assuming that the gyro is at default
Never assume anything
Always good to verify that everything is working correctly, but I think Turbojoe is correct in that if you have a known good setup and the only thing you change is inverting the gyro, then you would toggle the reverse switch to the opposite setting on the gyro.

Well the Shoe Goo has cured and I've re-mounted the GY 401. In answer to my own stoopid question...yes... you have to reverse the reverse switch on the gyro. After doing so my T-Rex flys just as it did before. Only now the gyro is better protected.
