So, my MIA canopy started showing some wear, and I decided to install some MCPX canopy grommets on it. Now, I should tell you that I bought the solid black one, because I couldn't justify the extra $4 for the 'carbon fiber look'
I bored out the holes a little, and then I noticed that the paint on the bottom of the canopy was chipping...
Paint?.... what paint? Aren't these molded in colored plastic of some kind?
No. Under the black paint, is the carbon 'shadow' style canopy.
He took the carbon fiber like canopy that he sells for $15, paints them black, and sells it for $10. :face
Wow. Economy of scale I guess.
Uh-oh. I've probably just revealed a patented trade secret, and will be served papers soon.
