SB16FH or MP2 for OS c-spec with OMI carb

I'm finally getting around to installing my brand new OS91 c-spec with the SZ carb and the OMI regulator.

I have two choices for pipes. An SB16-FH that I just took off my YS, or an old MP2 that I've had for a while.

I prefer the quietness of the Hatori, but I don't want to compromise on power. I know the 17 or even 18 would be better, but is the 16 out of the question?

I'm using 8.18 gear ratio.

On the SB16, do I need to use that aluminum gasket on the OS? The instructions don't mention it.

SB18 is the one you want if your going to turn the rotor head more than 1900.

The SB 16 will be OK. It is not going to give you peak performance. I took an SB 16 off a Cspec and put on a 17 and 18. There is definitely more power with the larger volumes of the 17 and 18.
SB17 is for RPMs lower than 1900.

So maybe the MP2 would be better for now? I have to choose one or the other in the next half hour or so. No time to buy something else.
