I finally made my choice on an "ekit" yesterday and is now ordered.
First, let me thank you for responding to my questions and I am sure Many more will be forthcoming.

I am still in shock at the cost of getting into the hobby for electrics. It seems those on who choose the cutting edge bleed the most but am excited with the purchase and hope the bounty will be both rewarding and challenging.

I went with the following;

A Futaba 6EX Faast system
RealFlight G3.5
Helimax AXE CP (for back yard)
1 x Futaba GY611 Gyro w/S9256 Digital Servo
1 x Castle Creations Phoenix HV-85 High Voltage ESC
1 x Thunder Tiger Raptor E620 SE Kit w/Duralite EVO20 6S1P Li-Polymer Battery
1 x Thunder Tiger Brushless Motor, OBL 43/11-30H
1 x Thunder Tiger Skid Damper (Yellow) (R30V2/50)
3 x Futaba S9451 Digital High-Speed/Torque Servo
1 x Tamiya Precision Calipers
1 x Thunder Power TP1010C 1-10 Cell Li-Poly DC Charger
1 x Thunder Power TP210V 2-10 Cell Li-Poly Balancer
I didn't know enough about the motor to make a better/wiser choice so stuck to the "recommended" one.

And not to forget - the divorce papers.

Looks like a wining setup to me. Good choice on the CC85 will let you change cell count if you decide to go to an 8s/10s setup.
