This is my first venture into lipo batteries and it's more complex than I ever imagined. One question I have is very basic. Most of the power supplies that I have seen all seem to have bannana plugs. When you use a charger that has the calipers, or the "croc" clips, how does that connect?? Do you snip the crocs and replace them with bannana plugs?? Do they simply unplug from the charger?? I hope I'm not the only one that has ever, in the history of Helifreak.com, wondered about that. Please help out a serious electrical midget, (but one who REEEEAALLY just wants to fly, more than anything else). :glasses2:

yes. I personally like to cut them off and install bannana plugs.

reason is I never hook them to a car battery or anything. My power supplies all have bannana jacks so thats what I use.

just depends on what you will be hooking it up to.

Ditto here, cut them off and put banana plugs on the charger.
I did leave about 4" of wire remaining on the battery clips and then soldered banana jacks to them so if I absolutely needed to use them, I still could.

I prefer cutting the "croc" clips off and replaceing them with deans and a set of banana clips. This allows me to easily connect to whatever if I'm in the field.

I've standardized on Anderson PowerPoles.

Made several sets of wires that terminate in PPs (large allig, small allig & banana) and all
the chargers have been terminated in PP's. I can mix n match as desired.
