I don't know, but this evening I was able to reproduce the full elevator issue on the receiver within 30 ft of the TX in a stable hover. Drove my TREX-450SA straight into a tree in my backyard. The head is gone, the canopy gone, bent the battery tray, may have busted the ESC, busted the tail linkage and stripped the main gear.
I have read the posts about how testers were able to reproduce the trouble and that many consider it a fluke situation. I had my bird up and practising side-in hover the battery before my incident and was preparing to try some nose-in! The bird was in the air for maybe 15 sec. on the second battery, I was hovering in Idleup 1 and steeling myself to turn the nose when it began to roll forward and I could not stop it. It powered into the tree 10 ft away before it had a chance to make it to the ground. If I had got it turned first at the very least I would have been repairing some siding on my house. I shudder to think what might have happened if I had it turned nose-in.
On a more positive note I am relieved to experience my first big crash. Once I got over the initial shock I actually had a good chuckle, sort of a 'Holy cr@p, that looked cool!' giggle.
I'll be sending both my AR6100 back for upgrade and would recommend any other owners to do the same. "It won't happen to me" just happened to me. IMHO there should be a general recall...
