Did you move yet? I was looking for someone to fly with. I'm near the Throgs Neck and Whitestone bridges, on the Bronx side. Where are you?

Good to know that there's someone else in NYC area who's into RC helis!!
I got into helis this spring and have progressed rather well I think. I can hover and am about to transition into forward flight. I was looking for either a club to join or for someone with heli intrests who also would like a partner to go flying with. However in NYC area there aren't that many RC heli clubs. there's one out in Long island but none in the city. Any one is in the NYC area {5 boroughs} who would like someone to go flying with can drop me a line at : edpet23@optonline.net

I am in northern NJ. 20 min outside of the Holland / Lincoln.
We mostly fly in Jersey but would always be down for a road trip.

your best bet is Power Hobby in Suffern, NY. They have the best prices.

There are a ton of us heli pilots in Brooklyn and Queens and there are a couple of clubs here in Brooklyn too.

I'm going to fly in Central Park tomorrow morning. Not sure if it's allowed or not but I'm gonna go real early and stay clear of anyone/everyone.

If you someone in handcuffs for flying in CP on the front page of the Times, you'll know who it is.

No problems flying in Central Park this morning. And this afternoon, I stopped a park officer and asked him if it's allowed and he said there are no rules against it. So as long as you're not bothering anyone or flying near crowded areas, sounds like we're good to go.

So who wants to open up a hobby shop in NYC with me???
