View Full Version : v1.04 on the way
Can't wait to get my hands on version 1.04. Phoenix team has announced that it will be available as a BETA version in 4 to 6 weeks.
Many improvements, check them out here. (http://www.phoenix-sim.com/pages/news.htm)
I hope that they do something about the multiplayer part too.
It seems that I'm experiencing lag. I can't see other people fly.

Looks great :) .
Lot of changes in that update, what a list  , hope they are able to implement them all, or many of them, without creating new bugs to hunt.
Seems damage modeling is enhanced.
Like the random winddirection option.
And the fact they keep working on the physicsmodel is also good news (allready very impressive imo).
Great news!

This new feature caught my eye:
-assign control profiles to model types, or individual models
In this (http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=25910&sid=854ba86057d328cf8e71788098f1232e) posting, I wrote the following:
This leads me to an area I would like to see improved:
I would like to be able to assign radio profiles to classes and/or models. Phoenix allows you to setup four radio profiles but, you have to select them manually. While this is not too bad, a better option might be to have a global default profile, aircraft class default and model specific profile.
This way you could tune your controller for fixedwing, helis, gliders, etc. When you select one of those types, it would use the global default profile or, the class default if you set one or, the model specific radio profile if you set one.
I would like to think they got that idea from me but, it is probably just obvious.

Hehe great idea jrohland :)
You asked for it and you get it, without the credits i think  .
I'm sure they read forums to find out what is wanted and what should be improved and not all ideas are obvious imo.
Their vision is most likely blocked / biased because they are deep in this project and following a certain path/planning, best ideas often come from people without that handicap.
Eric
I do that right now with both Phoenix and Reflex.
I have a generic Heli Radio setup and a generic Plank radio setup.
If I need to change something, I make the change to the individual aircraft
Gus...
I hope they'll release the 1.04 version pretty darn soon.
I've replaced my old desktop PC with a neat Vista laptop, and I've got some problems with Phoenix not wanting to recognize the update files I've downloaded.
(it only recognized the model-updates)

Or first maybe the release of a additional model like the Trex600N Jan... ;)
Congrats Btw.
Eric
lol
Yes. That could be nice too :-)
If we are lucky enough, the v1.04 will be out very soon with the 600N included.
(actually I won a 600N in a competition this weekend, but due to the lack of nitro in Greenland, I have asked for the electrical kit instead)

Anyone heard anything on ver 1.04 yet? Its been about 6weeks. Although i am impatient and cant wait for the new features, and to see how its flys.
I've exchanged a couple of e-mails with the Phoenix team (my Phoenix didn't work, so I needed some expert help. Works now)
They told me that the v1.04 would be out by the end of June.
I sure look forward to that :-)

-resize simulator window with your mouse to any size
-set a fullscreen mode and swap between windowed and fullscreen
-minimised/maximised/normal modes all saved and independant
-select different refresh rates in fullscreen
-copy and paste support between Phoenix and Microsoft Windows
-new semi-automatic CCPM demixing system
-add models to your favourite aircraft list for quick swapping
-control profile system expanded to allow different controls for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.
-improved phoenixUpdate system makes updating easier and faster.
-wind-sock with realistic flag effect
-software idle-up, gyro-gain and model-reset

Guess they are still polishing or hunting something.
Hope it will come soon though, I'm really looking forward to try out the MT and the new physics.
Waiting is so hard when things take longer than announced

I Am also very anxious and impatiently waiting  , ever since the release was mentioned and the new features shown, i cant wait to try it. I check the website 5-6 times a day :glasses2: . I emailed phoenixrc and within an hour I got this response:
Hi Dan
The 1.04 update is now scheduled for mid July, or sooner if possible.
This is due to extra testing needed on the destructible aircraft and failures panel - both features which were not in the original feature-list, but were added due to extremely large customer demand.
The website has been updated with this news, so please continue to check the news page for more information.
Best Regards

She pulled out a knife...flashed it before me...stuck it in...turned it around.
Honestly guys, wer'e so impressed with the current version, we just gotta see whats next.
But it would be good to actually get a working copy (not some foo foo embelished pile of crap) so take your time and make it right, I think we can wait.
Just my to pennies worth, Rick

yeah sure was.
I have dl it and played with it a short while, it does react differently and the sound to me is choppy on the nitro helis, and the scale md500 just don’t wanna work right, i thinks there’s a bit bugs still in it.
I’m still playing , will see what else is not working right. :(
Might need to start a new thread on this..
