Please read the operating instructions that came with the TRM motor and follow them accurately. Please contact me if you have any questions or want to clear anything up. Contact me by PM or e-mail would be best (my minutes are burned up quickly now days on my cell :arggg: ). My home # is 864-306-8651 if you want to call.
If you are new to gas machines and even if you are not, here are a couple of tips to help you get started.
Keep the RPM low on the motor initially. This may mean running a very low throttle curve at first. 0,14,18,40,100 would not be out of the question., use whatever it takes to keep the RPM low. Adjust the throttle curves and needles to keep the RPM down for break-in. The throttle curves can be then adjusted up for your liking and desired head speeds. Just keep the RPM low and the motor to the rich side. If you get into a situation where you get the model wobbly at low RPM, remove a head shim or replace one with a thinner one to keep this from happening. Just remember to shim the head back up before doing 3-D with it as the model requires tight head damping.
SPectra-G 3-D notes only
Keep in mind the that the model hovers in the transition between the low and high needle, not on the low one as previous models. Knowing this will keep you from getting frustrated chasing the low needle. Make the high needle purposely rich as it won't be needed totally until you do climbs and it does affect the hover (especially if it is too lean).
Have fun and good luck!!
