I just finished building a Lepton EX and it has a very weird problem.

If I take the Main and Tail blades off, I can plug the battery in and run the motor and servos just fine. I can get full RPM out of the motor and can set the throttle points on the radio for my throttle range.

When I put the blades back on and try and fly the Heli, I have no tail control and I can't get any positive pitch before the motor shuts down. I can move the stick back to full negative/no throttle, wait a second or two, and then add pitch/throttle and the motor will spool back up until I start adding positive pitch and then the motor shuts down again. I can also spool up the motor and go to zero pitch and the motor will run fine. If I switch to Idle Up while it is at Zero Pitch and spooled up, the motor will increase in RPM and then shut down. Any ideas?

Also, if it does get any positive pitch and a good head speed and all of a sudden the Heli starts spinning like crazy on the ground. Needless to say, my skids are flat.

I have the following equipment installed:
A Hyperion Z3025-10 Motor
A Hyperion Titan 80A Hi-Pro Brushless ESC (red wire disconnected from receiver plug)
A Hyperion Switch Mode BEC
Thunder Power 4S 3850 battery
GY401 with 9650
HiTec HS-85MG for cyclic

This has also been tried with the canopy off incase the ESC was getting too hot.

And, I did do a search, but I didn't find enough information to be helpful.

Make sure the pinion isn't slipping on the motor shaft

The pinion is nice and tight. It is not loose or moving.
