Hey guys...
I recently ordered a Dynatron starter with the MA batter holder brackets and 2 - 7 cell NiCD 1900mah batteries to power it...
It came yesterday and I wired it all up with deans ultra plugs, so the batteries would be in series. This is not my first time soldering deans plugs, I've done at least 8 LiPo packs and 2 ESC's etc... and never had a problem.
Today I go to use the starter for the first time(after charging the packs of course) on my Shuttle with a .30 and it didnt even turn the motor over once... it stalled immediately and then one of the packs started smoking and one of the connections in the pack burned..
Did I receive a bad battery?? Is something wrong with my wiring??? I checked all connections with a multimeter when I was soldering and everything seemed fine. I dont know if I should call the place I ordered it from and get them to replace the packs??
