I have a Raptor 30 V2 with a tt-39 engine in it.
I just put a Revolution muffler on it and just started using 20% Cool - Power. I was using 15% Cool-Power
I have the low end needle at 3 1/4 turns and the high one at 5 turns and the engine backplate is still to hot to touch?
When I land from a hover (I'm still at the hovering stage) and trottle down it stays reved up for a couple of seconds, the throttle linkage is moving. I am getting a lot of smoke out of it.

Sounds like you are sucking air on a fuel line or you have a leak on your engine...Like a loose back plate or carb.

I checked all the bolts on the engine they are all tight...no air leaks in fuel system., but... my fan is a little ground down on the bottom edge. Not the fan blades just the bottom edge...would that affect anything?

Did you open the needle when you increased the nitro?

I'm five turns on the high needle....and 3 on the the low...if I go any more turns on the low needle it starts to sputter or bog out when spooling up.

On the Revolution pipes there is a screw on the bottom side (for right sided ports). Check to make sure you didn't loose that screw. If thats good to go insure your muffler is well sealed against the motor. If your loosing pressure from the exhaust to the fuel tank, it will lead to a hot running motor.

I went throught everything...made sure no air leaks anywhere...
Jest waiting for some dry weather to test it.

I would lean towards something is still wrong with your engine or fuel system.... 5 turns on the high needle is very rich... not sure about the low end but that seems way out there too.
check again for air leaks... there has to be something....

Most of your air fuel mixture on a tt-39 are done with the low needle not the high. the high needle does very little on that motor. Also if you go to 30% fuel you can also cool the engine. Hovering is another issue that tends to heat up the engine as well.
