Well I just got my CX2 today from my LHS and well I just got it charged and was reading the directions and I have a problem. The elevator servos is not moving when I move the right stick up and down. Some times it will glitch move up a little but that is after I move the stick up and down several times. The other servo I think the ailerion servo moves Great. I have not even flown this yet. Just doing what the manual says (I knwo who reads the directions, Well I do). I am thinking that the back left servo is the elevator looking at it from the back and it should move up and down pretty free and that will throw off my foward flight and reverse flight. If anyone might be able to point me in the right direction it would be great. My LHS will not be open until Tuesday and I did get the last one. I am wondering if some thing was wrong with this one and well I got it. Thanks for any help you can provide me.

Bad Servo out of the box. Now what should a guy do. Pay the 12.99 to 15.99 for a new servo or wait another week or two. I have not had a right out of the box problem yet. Pretty weird. Jsut an FYI for everyone.

just buy the servo, if your going to buy it in a week or 2, why not just buy it now and get back in the air.

I agree with you. I am seeing that it is 14.99 does that sound like the best price and I see that it is a 6 gram servo and they have a 7.5 and a 9 gram servo would you replace them with two 7.5 or 9 gram servos? I dont know if bigger is better in this case. I thank you very much for your reply. I just wish I could getone tomorrow but I am going to have to wait until tuesday. No hobby with in 2 hours of me is open on sunday and then one does open am hour away monday and then tuesday my LHS that is 30 minutes that I bought it from opens then. Gosh, that seem like weeks away. I know I am just trying to getin to the air as soon as possiable because I have a trex waiting and a raptor 50 just sitting in the corner waiting on me to crash them. No I dont feel like I will if I get all of my simulator time and a good bit of cx2 time in.

get a new s60 servo, remove and replace. Make sure the servo horn is at 90 degrees when the cyclic is centered. All should go well, its a pretty easy replacement.

Thank you very much Carlo The Wonder Frog, My Wife would love your screen name and I am going to show her your avitar pic. I am trying to find a good price on a s60 now and I think that would be better then going through the warranty support. This sucks to have a new toy and it come broken out of the package. I would have rather broke it myself like I most likely will do. I would like to thank everyone for everything.

Did you try making sure the servo lead is plugged all the way into the 3-1 unit? Sometimes we overlook the simple things.

I unplugged it and plugged it in to the aileron spot and it did the same thing and then I tried Ch 5 and it did the same thing. I am wondering if I should take the servo apart and see if it is a bad solder joint. I would like to, but I would also like to be able to send it back and warranty it out also. I thank you and I usually do over look the simple things. I try to make it more complected than it really is. I am just trying to find one close to Columbia SC. Thank you Rhumba555 for the thought.

If you bought it at the LHS, why not take it back and exchange it. I certainly would.

I want to, but I got the last one on the shelf, It had the batteries in the remote and the remote was turned on and the TX batteries were dead and the LiPo battery was not in the box so they took one off the shelf and gave it to me. I am thinking that I got one that should have gone back and well I just HAD TO GET IT if you know what I mean. I will see if they have another 6 gram servo I am hoping in stock and they will exchange it out that is if they have one. Now the next problem they are closed Monday and I will not know if they have one in stock until Tuesday so what I have to come up with is do I order one Monday and get it Tuesday so if the LHS doesn’t have one in stock then I did something good and if I wait to order then I have to wait until Wednesday and well I go to Mayo Clinic Thursday and wanted this to pass the time at Mayo if you know what I mean.
pitty party for Cliff..........
He does not have his toy to "play" with at the doctors office.
I dont mind picking on myself. The only thing is I saved up my money and then bought it, the unit does not work out of the box and now I will have to prove that I bought it wait for the part to get in and most likely send the bad one back first wait for them to look at it and then ship the new one out.
So with all of that said I think that I will buy one from the closet place that has one in stock and get the bad one replaced to have a backup. i guess.

hmm check one more thing. the plug for the bad servo. check that thered wire is in all the and the plastic tab is pressed down. i always press the tab down once it is in all the way in there. then gently pull the red wire back out while still pressing down. if it doesnt slide out then let go of the tab and try it again to make sure.

I will do that, I didn't even think about that. I thank you very much for the idea txflyer. May I ask if there is a trainer cable to go from a JR TX to the blade CX2 TX? I know that the JR plug is just 2 contacts and the CX2 is 4 I think. The two like a JR and then - and + for 6v or something like that. I have a young man that I would like to help out in learning how to fly this and then move to something else. Also what is the switch on the top left hand side do? Anyone know and if it is in the manual I will call myself an idot. I am thinking that I could not find it in there. Thanks to everyone for alllll of the help and one last question does anyone have and like the CF boom or aluminum boom with the small fin on the end of it? It looks very good and I didn't know if it was the same weight or not. I want to get the heat sync for it but I have heat sync and will just make my own I think.

The switch is for when you connect a training cord. You press the switch to give control to the other Tx and release it to regain control. I don't know what systems it is compatible with though.
As an FYI, the Spektrum DX7 can control the CX2. I just bought a AR6100 Rx to use with my CX2 Tx. Works fine, though the only servo function available is servo reversing.

the only reall thing that the cx2 is going to help you with is gettting used to the heli when its facing different ways.

orenitation, is actually what I am wanting to work on. I have a couple of hundred hours on RealFlight G3 and now G3.5 since I dont sleep anymore. I just wanted to get some real life 3D flying in before I Crash I mean fly my "good" models.

I bought my CX2 for the same reason. Orientation. It's bigger than the helicoptors in G 3.5 by a long shot and it's helping me quite a bit with orientation issues. Plus it's fun!

Thank you for the vote of confidence ArthurKnowles. I love the looks of it and I am very excited about flying it. I was able to fly it today FF only and I thought that I did pretty well doing figure 8's and I didn't even have control of my elevator. I can’t wait until I have that back servo working. I am using the FMA direct Cell pro 4s to charge the battery and it works great. LOVE it, it take about I am guessing half of the time as the factory one from 3v. I want to do the proper testing on it soon as I get the servo working and that way I can run the battery down a little easer and start my research.

I have the BalancePro HD and PolyCharge 4 myself, but I only charge at 1C on the battery. Charging at higher rates can damage the cells. Just like discharging them below 3.0 volts per cell.
From what I know about these balancing chargers, they are safer to use because they monitor the voltage per cell so you can't overcharge them and cause a fire, but charging above 1C rates can still damage the cells unless they are specifically rated for higher charge rates. So you may want to reconsider higher charge rates if you want the batteries to last.

Understand, it does 1c until 90% and then the last 10% looked to be 3/4c for the restof the charge. Because as all of us know is that most of your charge is from 90% to 100%. But I have them numbered and I am keeping notes. I thank you very much . So what Mods do I have to do and what mods are just dun to to,

I don't know any specific modes, but do know that if you break a part with an aluminum upgrade (like the swash, shaft, etc.) then it is a good idea to replace the part with the aluminum replacement part.
I've also heard that the aluminum swashplate can make a noticable difference. As can using th eouter hole on the servo arm to increase swashplate movement. But I have not done that as yet. Inside, I don't need any more throw. Outside, well that's a different matter and if I continue to try it outside, I'll increase the throw. But right now I'm too busy getting flight time.
As an FYI, After noting the different trim setting to hover (mostly hands off) I finally adjusted the linkages and rudder gain. It's not quite 100% hands off, but is very much more stable. Well worth the time to mechanically adjust the linkage.

ArthurKnowles, I thank you very much for the information. I do want to get the upgrades. I have a 6 gram servo on the way to be here tomorrow. I was thinking about moving the linkages to the middle hole and seeing how good it performs then. May I ask if anyone has used the middle holes or the outside holes? I would like the best setting for a first time user and then move out from there. I thank you again.
what upgrades to buy in what order. Or should I buy them in the order I break them in? Ha ha ha......

ive bought a air hawgs havok, and a micro mosquito from radio shack.the air hawgs sucked. but the micro mosquito. that thing is pretty much. flys good. when its trimmed i can do full forward and fly around the room fairly smooth and consistantly. i bought for the same reason you bought the cx2. i didnt know you had a sim, and knew that helis like the cpp where way different and flew different. my micro mosquito has helped me so much for orientation. didnt know how much till today.

I'm keeping the linkage in the inner hole until I take it outside. You don't need any more control for indoor flight. As for replacement parts, well as I break them I will replace them with the aluminum tuning parts.

So TxFlyer what did you do today that it helped you with?
I think that I will do that Athur.
I have spent so much on this hobby and should have started out with a Blade CX2 and for some stupid reason I didn't. I had to have a raptor. It has been flown once by an instructor. I am just way to scared to try. I want to work my way up and I just knew when I got the raptor that I would go out to a field and take right off and fly for a second and then crash. I never got up the courage to ask anyone to buddy box with me. So since then I have not been doing too good and haven't felt like going out to the field. I am the kind of guy that takes the kitchen sink if you know what I mean.
so does anyone know how to make a cord to go from my CX2 TX to a JR buddy box or a 9303? also what 4n1 can I buy to use my 9303 wiht my CX2? I would rather keep the TX that came wiht it, but I think that latter on it will help me in the programing of my TX jr 9303.

i was messing around today, starting spinning the tail of my pro around. it took 5 crashes for me to not freeze when something goes wrong. but i spinning the tail around 2 and a half times when i only want to spin it one time. when i let go of the rudder stick for it to center, my gyro kicked the tail 90 degrees. i found my self at an angle of i havent tryed to even hover at yet. but from flying the micro mosquito every day around the house. ive gotten better with the controls. so i was able to land safely and rather softly at that same angle. go back 3 weeks ago before i bought the mosquito from radio shack, and i would get really confused on the sim and crash.
