Just a warning to all of you about the pressed in nuts on the motor tray. If you use locktite on the bolts that thread into the motor tray into the nuts pressed in to the tray you can expect the nuts to rotate freely when you try to remove the bolts.

I needed to remove the bolts to change pinions. To say I had a difficult time removing the bolts would be an understatement. Without needlenose plier and hemostats to hold the nuts, I never would have been able to remove them. Two of the nuts fell out of the tray after removing the bolts.

I am going to buy another tray, but wonder if JB weld could be used to hold the nuts in place. Any idea if JB wed would hold up to the tension?

Arthur,

I don't know what the tray looks like as I am just looking at buying a Lepton, but I have used JBWeld before and it is pretty spectacular as long as you get all the oil and crud off the metal first. Just don't get any in the threads!

Well I already bought a replacement as I didn't want to chance my Lepton on a $25 part. But I'll try JB Weld on it and have a spare.

Thanks.
