Hey all,
Recently ran into an issue with no tail authority, I have everything worked out mechanically and with the gyro/radio but I still have a lazy tail, it drifts right about 15 degrees and stops, it bounces when rudder right or left, I did not have this problem before the upgrade, do you think I should move from the 72 MM stock L10 blades to 85 MM carbons? will the tail handle it?
Thanks
Ed

I actually run 80mm blades on the stock boom and it holds extremely well. The stock tail blades just don't have the holding power in a loaded state.
If you have the longer boom upgrade, I would definitely go with 85mm or 92mm blades.

Scott,
Will there be any issues with the stock tail supporting the larger blades?
I also just found a NASTY problem which is more than likely the reason for my problems. One of my bearings was frozen, another was notchy. I will upgrade to a thrusted tail ASAP.
Thanks for the reply

Hi,
We also have the longer boom on our L10 but with 500mm blades, V-Bar and 95mm Tails on the thrusted tail. Works VERY well. :)

The thrusted tail has no problems with larger blades. The bearings are VERY important on the tail. I found out the hard way. The tail runs about 11,000 RPM so the bearings need to be in perfect condition.

Hmmm... Haven't thought about going with the larger tail blades but I noticed that the Trex 600 blades are a perfect match for the Mikado carbon blades:

Maybe I'll give them a try at only $17. Anyone try these?

In German, über is used as a prefix as well as a separate word. In the latter case, it may be a preposition or an adverb depending on context. Eg. über etwas sprechen - speak about something, über die Brücke - over the bridge, übernehmen - take over (nehmen = take).
Über also translates to over, above, meta, and super. The actual translation depends on context. One example would be the term Übermensch from Friedrich Nietzsche, which translates to super human or superman (literally "overhuman"). It is assumed that it is via this translation that the word über entered the English vocabulary (cf. calque).
In German online slang it can also be used with the same meaning as the English usages of "uber" by gamers. In this case, it is typically written without the umlautdespite the ready availability and familiarity of the 'ü' characterin part to distinguish it from its original meaning. Linguistically speaking, it's interesting to note that a language can borrow a loan word that it already loaned out, as long as the meaning has changed sufficiently. In the most cases of this usage, it is borrowed directly as Denglisch, or an English word/phrase that has been fitted adhoc into the German language. In Hindi and other Sanskritik languages of India, a word of the same origin, 'üper' means 'up' or 'upper'.

Logo 10===When I stretched mine and put 550's on it I had the same problem with lack of tail authority...I went to 85mm tails and it flew great...the only potential problem is that with longer tails it puts more stress on the tail gear and you run a higher chance of stripping it out (the Main Gear)on hard piro moves...
Unless you upgrade to the 138t main gear that is...
