Will this receiver work with an 8103?

Does anyone have good experience with this combination or know if they work good together? I hope to use these on my Raptor 50. I know it states Jr in the description but you never know for sure.

Doesn't look like it's PCM, I'd stay away.

I may have a JR PCM Rx for sale shortly.

I fly FM in my Raptor now and never have any glitching or range problems. I'm not looking for pcm. Can I use the 8103 in FM mode with this? I put a berg in my Trex and really like the smaller components.

yes it will work fine. I don't know that a JR crystal would work though so you may want to get one with it if it doesn't come that way.

I might spend money and get a pcm receiver. At first, I just wanted something that works cause I was gonna buy the 2.4 Jr 9 channel when it comes out. If I can get one. Who knows how popular they will be.

yes, it will work w/ the 8103 in FM/PPM mode. Do make sure to get the proper crystal.

It will not do PCM at all.

I might spend more cause I just noticed that the receiver I was looking at would need a y-harness to use all eight channels. I didn't notice that before. No separate battery input. With all the wiring already, a y-harness, it just makes me nervous. Should that make me nervous.

Max, I personally like the FM as if you DO have glitches they will show up, if you have them and you miss them, then they get really bad, the PCM will lock out and if it does that at the wrong time.... :badair:
I have used berg with good luck but I do use their crystals, the only thing you may have to do is read the manual and make sure there is nothing special about pos or neg shift settings The difference of JR and Futaba
