Here are my DX7 Settings for the T-Rex 450 SE

They're a work in progress but they should put you in the neighborhood.

It is an MS Excel spreadsheet so you will need either MS Excel or OpenOffice.org from www.openoffice.org to open it.

Thanks for posting this, I asked someone else on here and they didn't want to share. I just needed a started point so I won't forget to set something up.

Chas it wasn't that I didn't want to share. I told you your setup will be specific to your copter and copying my setup won't help much.

At this point you don't know what you don't know. Later on you'll understand and feel really stupid.

For a starting point watch the Finless series and setup your copter as he covers it.

First if you noticed, I didn't mention any names. Second, all I really wanted was the basics, not the numbers to make sure I didn't skip any menus, I wasn't going to copy your setup and third I don't now nor will I ever feel stupid for asking for help. I have already setup this heli once on the DX6 and it was a PITA. Don't worry I won't ask you for any advice again.

nope..I don't do that. It doesn't do you any good to copy my settings because your settings will be specific to your setup.

Hey Jermo,
I am going to look at your video again, I just sold my DX6 and I am getting a DX7 next week. Question I have is do you have your settings in a spread sheet or anything like that you could send me ?

It's never stupid to ask questions and HeliHarry's spreadsheet is not only a good starting point but also a useful tool for recording your own setup.

The thing that seems to cause the most confusion for DX7 newbies is the gyro setup. I suggest not using the GyroSensitivity menu and simply using the Gear channel travel adjustment to control the gyro gain.

Thanks, that's the way I had the DX6 programmed since you didn't have a choice with it. I still have all my settings from the DX6, so it should be fairly straight foward. The only issue I had was the tail holding when you punched the throttle.

I fully agree!

I started out with the gyro menu, but it only caused confusion.

I now run my gain on the gear menu/channel/switch and tings seems a lot easier and more simple. On top of that, you can actually switch between HH and normal mode, if you so desire. :)
