I've decided upon a new Logo 5003D
Wanted to ask the setup guru, what the hot setup was going to be.

Motor - I see some have mentioned the new Hacker A40-10L,

Was also curious as to what pinion size and best battery was going to be the choice.

Is the FP 3700 6S going to be the battery - what kind of flight times can I expect.
Thanks,
JEff

The A40-10L won't work on a 6S, you'll need the A40-10S. I'm planning on the A40 or staying with the Z30, not sure yet.

I'm planning on running TP 6S 5000 packs which is the perfect battery for the L500. Pinion will depend entirely on your motor choice.

I am looking at running a NEU 1910-1Y on 8S stretching it to 550mains.

Bobby, are you going to run 550 main blades?
What kind of flight times do you expect with the 6S 3700 packs and which motor will you be running.
Also, what pinion will you use?
Thanks,
Jeff

Only reason I am going 8S is cause that is the packs I have at the moment to run in it. 3700 6S will be very good indeed. I would suspect flight times to be in the 5-6 minute range, alot of speculation though without having seen or flown one in person.

I've got some FP 4S 3300 to run in series as 8S. Havent decided on a motor yet, but was thinking the new Actro 18-4H. Probably start with 515 blades and then stretch to 550s later. Any other good motor options for 8S?

NEU 1910 should be a good range, it is what I have on my 600 rex right now and works well. In fact there have been peeps running the 1910 on 10S to with no issues. Newest NEU with new fans and casings are supposed to be out within a month to two tops.

Buster yes i will be running the ROTORTECH 560s as i run now on my L10s wiht my flying about 4 to 5 minutes 2200 to 2300 HS

i would say you could probably get about 6 to 7 minutes wiht a mild setup on 6s wiht mild sport flying
I have seen 5 minutes 2200 HS all out 3d on the new 25c 3700 packs wiht only 3000 going back into the packs

Just as an info from Heidelberg yesterday:

The Logo 500 3D runs 550 blades out of the box. No streching is necessary. All the mikado factory pilots currently using a Z-Power motor.

Awesome news on not having to stretch it, I don;t think the Z motor is going to rule the roost on the 5003D though.....just imho of course.

Glad to hear it can run 550 blades straight up. That info is contrary to all the so far advertised info though (most say 500 - 520). I tried a Z power once in Trex600. I will never try one again. Failed on first flight.

I run Z-Power and it's held up great. Shawn, what's going to be the roost ruler?

Shawn as of right now there is no motor that can touch the Zmotor on 6s i have done alot of testing and it is the only one that can make some good power with out tearing the drive train apart. Also i might add it runs very cool...

Thanks,
Jeff

I plan on running a 20T pinion on mine just to get a little more torque. You can only get the "good" Z-power motors from Gary at tppacks.

Well my buddy has the Zpower 1100 with newest core and fan "from TP Packs" in a temporary Swift heli unit till his Logo 5003D comes in. We were not overly impressed at all. In memory of what a 1910-1Y looked like in the heli the Z seems to be much less powerfull and consitent in comparison to the NEU. Now this all being said the gearing is diff on a Swift than a L500 I understand. As well maybe he got a dud?? I kinda doubt it though as it all runs smooth and cool etc.... We'll see, I know he is going to try it in his 500 anyways to see how it goes.

Shawn not sure what is going on wiht teh swift but i can tell you first hand the Z motor governed right and gearred right is a beast i have been flying them now for 6 months and love them!!
There is only one motor i think might touch it and it is not avaliable. the only motor that has more power is the Neu 1907-1y i think it is. But it just trashes main gears becuase i have to run a 10tooth pinon on the Mod 7 gear and ti takes about 2 to 3 minutes of hard 3d to chip the main gear then boom it strips

Well,,, in short I guess we'll see. Like I said he is keeping the motor and going to try it, along with a NEU etc to see which is truly better on 6S.
