Clint,

I can only get away for two days, what day would be the best, 4th or 5th or the 6 & 7th?

How close to Statesboro is Topsail, NC? Gonna be out there that week and wouldn't mind the drive over (and get away from the in-laws for a day - or two - or three)

Looks to be about 340 miles according to my map program.

the Best Western, University Inn, if still called that is the closest along with La Quinta

Both are nice. There is a Quizno's right by the Best Western and some other restaurants just down the street. Same thing for La Quinta and Comfort Inn, Loco's is next door to Comfort and just down from La Quinta and then more restaurants nearby.

Of course you're welcome to grill or whatever here at the house too.

it of course is very hot here, in the 90's with heat index making it feel around 100 maybe. good thing though, we may get some scattered showers next week or just some cloud cover would be good.

Cason and I have a kiddy pool in the back yard if you need to cool off some.

see everyone soon.

Sounds good. I, and a couple friends, will be there Sat and Sun. How many people usually attend?

Becky and I will arrive some time Monday afternoon. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. We will have a shipment of flightpower batteries, trex 600n sport models, and curtis blades waiting for us at Clint's. Quantities will be limited so look us up early. We will not have email access before we arrive.

Yep. Blades, servos, and starter shaft and my 600N will be ready to rock! I'll know exactly what days I'll be up there by the time this weekend is up. If it's left for me to decide then I'll be there Wednesday and stay till Friday.

See you guys soon!

Mind if a few of us from Brunswick stop by?

BTW. Just signed up here. Not brand new to the hobby (a year now), just new to finding friends to enjoy it with.

well, as always Steve and Gail Dixon are here first. They just love us so much they couldn't wait. They even bought a camper to match ours or did we buy to match theirs?

Anyway, it's hot as can be here with nats, so bring bug spray and sun screen. We had a late evening thunder storm Sunday and there may be some today also. But during the day it is great except for the afore mentioned.

Cason's kiddy pool helps with the heat though.

Wa11banger will be rested and ready to tear up the sky with the 600N. He's actually just sleeping because he is too afraid (skeer'ed as he would say) to stay awake and experience my driving :D

This is my first trip to Clintsone's and I'm looking forward to hanging out with everyone. See ya Wednesday afternoon!!!

And yes Cliff...there goes the neighborhood!!!!

Well it's looking like I'll be the only brave sole from Seminole R/C to head up there. That being the case, I'll leave Wednesday morning and stay until probably Friday evening.

I'm not sure if I should bring my 600N or not. Even though I'll be picking up the blades, servos, and starter shaft from B&B to finish it up, I'll still have a lot of setup work to do and I promised the club down here that I'd maiden it for them this weekend when I got back. Decisions, decisions....

Things are getting started. Another travel trailer pulled in last night. B&B are here. They came packed tight as always. Looking forward to seeing those who can make it. I flew late yesterday and and I am ready to go again. My internet is unlocked now so bring your laptops.

I'll be leaving tomorrow AM so I'll be seeing you guys early afternoonish. Look for a little black Cobalt with FSU tags and a helifreak decal on the back window.

I think I'm going to go ahead and bring my 600N. If for no other reason than to have something to tinker with. The 450 will be coming of course.

I need to get to reserving me a hotel room before I forget...

If you bring it, we will bug you to death to build it :D

There will be no heli kit left unbuilt especially at a 5 day event

Geezzz, I'm tempted to hop on my motorcycle and cruise on over for a visit. I sure do miss Clint, Julie and the growing Cason. Some of you other FREAKS too.
Good flying and fun times to all.
